Wow, you’ve asked a very simple but very profound and challenging question!  Let’s see.  In a nutshell, to me being a Catholic means that I and countless others over two millennia have initiated into all the Mysteries of Christ, Incarnate Son of the Father. I, as a member of Christ’s Church, am daily, really, truly, sacramentally assimilated to the mysteries of his most humble Birth, his bitter Passion and Death, his glorious Resurrection in the flesh, and his Ascension as our High Priest to the right hand of the Father. Through Christ and his continued presence in the Church I am have a loving relationship with the Father as his adopted son. As a Catholic, I am able to be transformed day by day into the image and likeness of his well-beloved Son.  How’s that?  :-)
